Training Philosophy
About Head Trainer: Kelly Spitale
Like most trainers and animal enthusiasts, Kelly grew up with pets and spent much of her time with the family dog. As an adult, she was given a Chow Chow puppy as a gift for her birthday. She embraces the fact that she was basically clueless about how to raise a puppy and knew very little about the breed beyond its fluffy appearance and compact size. She made just about every mistake in the book trying to provide her pup with a good life. She began educating herself about dogs - living with them, providing for them and training them.
With her second puppy she did much better by taking training classes too. The time and attention to the trainer's knowledge experience and advice was relationship altering and, unbeknownst at the time, planted a seed in Kelly's heart.
Upon moving to North Carolina in 2001 from New England, she decided it was time to persue her passion for dog training. She continues to invest in learning and applying a multitude of training techniques and methods to ensure the success of her clients and their dogs while injecting as much fun as possible for both pet and owner. Fun makes learning more powerful while encouraging the necessary practice to create a team that works together towards a common goal!
Kelly encourages the highest quality loving human-dog relationships that provided beneficial results for a lifetime. She concentrates on customization of a training program for your unique goals. Through knowledge and clear communication, she will empower you to create a lifetime of fun and harmony for you and your dog.
